Erasmus preparatory course has already started.
With the arrival of the new year, all the participants of this year’s Erasmus professional internships have already had their first preparatory sessions. Fourteen students representing all four fields of studies at the European Business Academy are getting the chance to gain work experience abroad this year. Unlike last year, the three-month internship will be completed by two girls, each from a different class. Five other girls and seven boys will work in Dublin for two weeks.
The aim of the joint preparatory meetings is to get to know each other, gain trust and bond within the group, get to know Irish culture and traditions, become familiar with the geography and history of Ireland, as well as work on documentation which is an integral part of the Erasmus program and ensures its high quality. Therefore, precisely processed CVs of all future interns as well as the results of their English tests have already been sent to Dublin. This information is the essential guide for finding the most suitable companies for our students´work placement.
The whole group, including two accompanying teachers, will leave together on April 14. During one week the teachers will monitor the students’ satisfaction with accommodation in Irish families and, as part of so-called monitoring visits, they will meet students and their mentors in their Dublin companies. After the first work week all the participants will spend a weekend day together either in one of the seaside resorts in the immediate vicinity of Dublin or by visiting the cultural and historical monuments of the capital of Ireland.
After having been ensured that the quality of the professional internships is maintained, the two accompanying teachers will fly back home. The interns will stay though and will continue to verify whether the knowledge and skills acquired so far during their studies correspond to the requirements of the real labor market.
